Early days: Hans Von Aachen,was born in the year 1552 in cologne Germany and expied in the year 1615,Prague in Czech Republic.His surname is derived from the birth place of his father,Aachen in Germany.

Career:

He began his painting career in Germany,after which he shifted to Italy in 1574 to pursue  his studies. He had traveled in Rome and Florence,and then eventually he had settled  in Venice.It was in Venice that  Hans Von Aachen developed much of his mannerist techniques.In 1592, to his credit he was chosen  the official painter of Rudolph II, Holy Roman Emperor. Hans Von Aachen, being  a painter of the court of Rudolph II,mostly painted biblical and mythological scenes.
