Portrait of Princes William And Harry Disclosed

February 3, 2010

A brand new oil painting has been disclosed, featuring the two royal brothers Prince William and Prince Harry. The portrait is an appealing one, with the features of the two young men well depicted. The picture has been displayed in London, at the Contemporary Galleries of the National Portrait Gallery. There are also additional portraits featuring the royalty in Britain at the Gallery, together with the one on Prince William and Prince Harry.

Princes William and Harry

Painted by the British artist Nicky Phillips, the picture shows the princes talking to each other, clad in full military costume. They are adorned in the full military regalia as a  whole with sashes and medals. The backdrop of the portrait is the library in Clarence House, the official royal residence of the princes. The pictures are pragmatic enough, mirroring the two men pretty well.

The two princes are depicted in the picture in a informal pose, engaged in a brotherly lively chat in the library of Clarence House. The main attraction of the oil painting is the informality it conveys, regardless of the fact that the men are dressed in the most f
ormal of attires, that of the Household Cavalry. The royal sittings took place in the artist's studio. Both the brothers have expressed their happiness at the inauguration of their first portrait alone. Previously, all other portraits featured them in the company of other people.
