Bob Dylan-Paintings

The "Bob Dylan on Canvas" exhibit will display a series of canvas paintings based on sketches that he created through the years 1989 to 1992. Additionally the sketches chosen include paintings of vibrant colors as well as bold brushstrokes. The paintings include a series depicting train tracks and the paintings Sunflowers and Woman in Red Lion Pub.Also , the period of 1982 through 1992 was the time of his albums-Dylan & the Dead album, Oh Mercy, and Under the Red Sky.

In typical Bob Dylan modesty, the painter conveyed that he just drew what's interesting to him and then he painted it.. He said that he is not trying to make social comment or fulfill others' vision and that  he can locate subject matter anywhere. He added that in some way,it develops out of the folk world that he came up in.
