"Van Gogh: the Flaming Soul" Exhibition at National Museum of History

The paintings of Dutch art master Vincent Van Gogh will be showcased at the National Museum of History (NMH) from December 11,2009 upto March 28,2010.The exhibition titled "Van Gogh:the Flaming Soul will display nearly 98 pieces of his works.This includes 77 sketches as well as 21 paintings. This collection of art work is from the Kroller Muller Museum of Netherlands,which is well known for its accumulation of Van Gogh's paintings.Also , "Flower Vase with Thistles," Van Gogh's later period works,is obtained from Pola Museum of Art , Japan.

Vincent Van Gogh (1853-1890), a Dutch art master, had done more than 800 paintings and 1200 sketches in a short career of 10 years of paintings. The complete 98 exhibits will be showcased following Van Gogh's footprints in creation, beginning from Brussel of Belgium, Edam, The Hague and Nuenen of Netherlands, ended at Paris, Arles and St. Remy of France.

"Van Gogh: the Flaming Soul" exhibition marks the first worldwide artistic cooperation and swap over between the National Museum of History with the above two.It also signifies the fruit borne from constant hard work following the 2008 Millet The Beauty of Countryside exhibition that was co-hosted with Museum D'Orsay.Further in order to provide the best display of this great painters works, National Museum of History has enhanced its exhibition environment in order to provide a astonishing experience for art lovers.
